Ugochi founded Thrift ‘n Prosper in 2019, and was driven by her passions for thrifting, crafting and advocacy. Originally from Ypsilanti, MI, Ugochi is a Speech-Language Pathologist and entrepreneur at heart. Inspired by her Angel mommy, thrifting has largely been incorporated into her life since early childhood, and over the years, it has allowed her to further explore fashion through a more sustainable lens. Thrifting not only for herself, but for others as well, is an art form she takes pride in and truly enjoys. When she moved to Maryland in 2019, she would easily spend up to three hours on a given day sourcing secondhand pieces after work and consciously transforming wardrobes. She has even developed a growing clientele who seek her expertise in finding sustainable and versatile pieces to spruce up their closets! Ugochi has sourced pieces from across the United States and believes that the most unique and timeless pieces are indeed secondhand. She carefully selects preloved items to elevate your wardrobe, home and beyond.
